Apple Releases iOS 13.7 with support for new automatic COVID-19 notification system

IOS 13.7 BRINGS ONE MAJOR NEW FEATURE: EXPOSURE NOTIFICATIONS EXPRESS

Apple released iOS 13.7 with support for a new notification system with COVID-19 tracking. The new system removed the burden of dedicated app for corona-virus contact tracing.

The Exposure Notifications API developed by Apple and Google at the time of first release of iOS 13.5 and was revealed in April and it allowed applications developed and managed by state health agencies to develops apps that can give warning to users if they have been near to someone who tested COVID-19 positive without recording personal information or compromise in privacy policy. 

This new system is cross-compatible with existing systems which may have rolled out already. In the USA, the first locations to support the new feature Exposure Notifications Express in Washington D.C, Virginia, Nevada and Maryland. 

Go to Settings → Exposure Notifications and Turn on Exposure Notifications

You can choose your country and state, Your iPhone will tell you if Exposure notifications are available in your region or not. 

Now that Apple has stopped signing iOS 13.6.1 so users can not downgrade to this version after upgrading to a newer version (iOS 13.7). By preventing users to re-install older versions of iOS, Apple ensures that by using newer versions customers are getting the most stable experience.
