Government Of India bans 59 Chinese apps including TikTok, WeChat, Helo

The Indian Government on Monday banned 59 chinese applications, most of them popular applications such as WeChat, TikTok, Shareit, Mi Video Call, Club Factory and Cam Scanner which are a threat to national security and sovereignty.
The ban comes due to continuous tensions on the border between India and China which covers many Chinese apps from gaming to eCommerce, Browsers, Social Media, File Sharing and instant messaging.
The IT Ministry said that we have taken this move to “safeguard the interests of 130 crores of Indian mobile and internet users\”
